Introducing: Beckie Kellett, Early Learning Coordinator

profile-photo-BeckieHi, my name is Beckie Kellett and I have been a Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) for over 20 years. I have worked at Community Living for 16 of those years, and have been fortunate to be part of many great teams.

My career with CL began with a part-time position in one of our Community Homes. Within my first year, I moved from part-time to overnight support worker in the program, supporting adults living with developmental disabilities.

A year later, I joined the Early Learning Resource program, offering services to children in child care settings as well as the families, educators and community agencies supporting them.

In 2015, I joined the Early Learning Quality Initiative (ELQI), providing professional development and learning opportunities to the child care community. I was initially responsible for the quality assurance portfolio with ELQI, and then took on professional development responsibilities as well in 2020. It has been an honour to coach and mentor early learning and child care educators in the City of Kawartha Lakes and County of Haliburton.

I am fortunate to have had many opportunities to further my skills and education in support of my work. I have built many valuable relationships, both inside and outside of the organization, and look forward to continuing my career path at Community Living Trent Highlands.
