The purpose of the DICE committee is to live into and promote the guiding principles.

We will foster an inclusive environment and strive to acknowledge our biases that influence current culture. We will challenge inequities and create equal opportunities for all to connect, belong and grow. We will strive to create a safe space where everyone is accepted for their authentic selves and feels valued for their contributions to the CLTH mosaic.

Objective

CLTH is committed to promoting inclusive communities. Everyone is deserving of fair and equitable acceptance where we are all free from discrimination and valued in all our communities and every environment in which we work, live and play.

Principles

    1. Actively educate CLTH, engage in diversity awareness and understanding through education and training to promote a culture of empathy, awareness and understanding through education and dialogue.
    2. Actively create a culture in which people can contribute and truly be themselves.
    3. Bias exists, our aim is to acknowledge it, reflect and challenge where necessary.
    4. Promotion of safe accepting environments where the opportunity to actively display personal dedication to inclusive culture while intentionally demonstrating allyship to others is always available.
    5. Employment practices will ensure that people can connect, belong, grow and learn as we all become more aware at CLTH.
    6. We will be open to feedback and see it from all perspectives.
    7. We will celebrate our authentic selves, embrace inclusion and honour the mosaic of our diversity and uniqueness.
