About the Early Learning Resource Program


 

The Early Learning Resource Program offers services to children in licensed home and centre-based programs, recognized recreation programs and Early ON Child & Family Centres. These services are available for children, families, educators and community agencies.

      • Consultation based on the principles and practices in Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years, How Does Learning Happen?
      • Information and strategy to maximize the physical environment in support of children.
      • Professional development and information sharing in centre staff meetings.
      • Workshops for educators and families.
      • Modelling and coaching of recommendations and strategies.
      • Support with individualized planning and strategy in order to facilitate the child’s optimal development and participation.
      • Coordination of services with other agencies, including referral.
      • Support in completing applications for centre staff funding after our Consultants have observed, assessed and provided resources.
      • Assistance to families to complete applications.
      • Transition planning from the home to childcare and/or school.
      • Advocacy for child and family.
