Introducing: Ashley Logan, Coordinator, Community Homes

Ashley has been with Community Living for 15 years, starting part-time while taking the Social Service Worker program at Fleming College. Prior to being hired as Community Living staff, Ashley had high school placement in the day program on Sherbrooke Street for two years. From day one, she tells us, she knew that she had chosen the right career path.

Ashley started out in a part-time support worker position, and eventually advanced to an assistant position and then coordinator, all with Community Homes. “The agency is always supporting staff who want opportunities to gain more skills and learning experiences,” Ashley tells us, “by offering learning and training opportunities.” She appreciates the work that Community Living Trent Highlands puts into keeping the agency thriving and supporting their employees.

Ashley says her passion and the work she does are a good fit. “I enjoy working with others, sharing ideas and helping people live a meaningful life. What I like most working with the people I support is assisting them overcome barriers and celebrating their successes.”
