Community Living Trent Highlands is a not-for-profit organization which is dedicated to providing supports and services that promote the personal growth and community participation of people with intellectual disabilities. Our mission is to inspire respect and equality for people with an intellectual disability by promoting community knowledge, organizational excellence and individual quality of life. The agency oversees services in Haliburton, Kawartha Lakes and Peterborough, with a staffing compliment sitting at approximately 380 dedicated employees. An opportunity has arisen in our Agency for an individual to join our Leadership Team in the role of:
Manager of Adult Services

Valid Driver’s licence, Reliable Vehicle and clear Driver’s Abstract required.
Position Summary:
Under the direction of the department Director, the Manager will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, supervising and assigned services, within the three communities of Kawartha Lakes, Haliburton and Peterborough. Home position may be negotiated. They will focus on developing and leading a staff team in supporting and providing services to people with intellectual disabilities and their families. Supervise and evaluate staff, compile data and have the ability to interact with inter and intra community partners. Ensure supports and services are based on the Personal Outcomes Measures approach.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Demonstrated experience working within the developmental sector is required.
* Must have a university degree or a college diploma in Human Services.
* A minimum of three (3) years Supervisory / Management experience working in a union environment and with adults with an intellectual disability is required.
* Knowledge of Personal Outcomes Measures, Individual Support Planning, positive behaviour support plans, inclusion, community development and connections is required.
* Demonstrated skills and experience in providing strong leadership, problem-solving beyond conventional methods, championing and facilitating change, and building confidence among peers, Board of Directors and the community.
* Must have general knowledge of provincial and federal legislation and programs pertaining to adult services, the Occupational Health & Safety Act and its regulations
* Experience with budget development, financial management and control, and performance management
* Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and the development and mentoring of others.
* A self-starter; positive, confident and approachable manner; creative, innovative focus; comfortable forecasting and managing risks and opportunities; possess a high level of emotional maturity and self-management.; commitment to quality customer service; and a strong understanding of organizational culture and climate.
* Must have current certification in First Aid, CPR and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention.
* Must have a valid class G Ontario driver’s license and insurance with a minimum of $2,000,000 liability
* Must have access to a reliable vehicle and provide a clean Driver’s Abstract
* Clear Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Check is required.
* Proficiency with Microsoft office suite and database
Salary:
Hourly Wage Range- Step 1 $39.92- Step 4 $42.99 Annual Salary Range -$77,844.00-$83,830.50
