People First Peterborough Chapter is an advocacy group of community-minded people living with developmental disabilities. We want to be known as people first before the disability we have been labelled with.
We believe in the rights of people. Knowing your rights are important, with them you have the freedom to make your own decisions and dreams. Knowing your rights and responsibilities helps you to speak up for yourself and have self-respect.
We advocate for the value, dignity, and human rights of people living with an intellectual disability.
We work in partnership with and share the vision of Community Living Trent Highlands.
